    Overview

    This course allows trainees to understand how MPLS works under both functional and performance (QoS) perspectives. Starting from the most deployed local and wide area network architectures, this training analyzes the label switching mechanism and all the protocols involved in the communication process. Finally, the live network implementations of this technology and the testing of MPLS devices are described.

    • Forwarding Equivalence Class (FEC): concept and analysis
    • Label Switched Path (LSP) definition
    • MPLS Forwarding Table (LFIB): definition and analysis
    • Integration of MPLS / BGP
    • MPLS L2 and L3 VPN
    • QoS management with MPLS networks
    • Configuration and management with Traffic Engineering
    • Performance measurement: Delay, Throughput, Loss, Jitter

    Target Audience

    This course is designed for personnel working for Network Provider or ISP who is involved in network management and maintenance.

    Pre-Requisites

    TCP/IP protocol suite basic skills.
