    This course provides trainees with in-depth knowledge on antennas for mobile communication, with a particular reference to their properties and performance. After analyzing different types of antennas, we will focus on design solutions for mobile access networks. Furthermore, this training discusses antennas selection issues, focusing on adaptation and optimization criteria.

    Exercises:

    The theoretical lectures are integrated by practical sessions performed with real antennas and digital spectrum analyzers. Moreover, the laboratory activities include the use of several virtual simulators to reproduce important physical phenomena related to radio propagation.
